Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 22, 2026

Zonycs is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. It applies to all users of the Zonycs website, mobile experience, and API.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: When you register or use Zonycs, you may provide us with your email address, display name, profile photo, wallet address, business name, location details, and listing content (descriptions, images, prices). Messages sent through our platform are stored to enable the inbox feature.

Automatically collected information: We collect standard web server logs including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security, performance monitoring, and aggregate analytics.

Location data: When you create a listing or set your profile location, you may provide your city, region, and country. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates unless you explicitly place a map pin on a listing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Zonycs platform.
  • Display your listings and profile to other users.
  • Deliver notifications, messages, and saved-search alerts.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Send you important account-related emails (we do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in).
  • Produce aggregate, anonymised analytics to understand how the platform is used.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Publicly: Your display name, profile photo, location (city/region level), and active listings are visible to all users, including anonymous visitors. Wallet addresses used to post listings are publicly visible.
  • Service providers: We share data with trusted third parties that help us operate the platform — including cloud hosting, payment processors, email delivery, and IPFS pinning services — under strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zonycs or others.
  • Business transfers: If Zonycs is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Blockchain & On-Chain Data

If you use on-chain features (escrow, auctions, raffles), your wallet address and transaction data are recorded on a public blockchain. Blockchain data is permanent and cannot be deleted by Zonycs or by you.

We encourage you to understand that wallet addresses, once associated with your identity on Zonycs, may allow third parties to trace your on-chain activity. Use a dedicated trading wallet if privacy is a concern.

5. Cookies & Tracking

Zonycs uses essential cookies and browser local-storage to maintain your session, remember your preferences (such as theme), and keep you signed in. These are strictly necessary for the platform to function.

We may use a privacy-first analytics tool (such as Plausible) that collects no personally identifiable information and does not use cookies. We do not use advertising trackers or share data with advertising networks.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer (for example, financial transaction records).

Listing images uploaded to IPFS are content-addressed and distributed across the network. We can unpin our copy, but cannot guarantee removal from nodes operated by third parties.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, export, or delete it. Canadian residents have rights under PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy legislation. European users have rights under GDPR.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@zonycs.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

8. Children's Privacy

Zonycs is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, where required, by sending you a notification. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
